IMPORTANT NOTICE : FLU CLINICS 2020
In the interest of patient safety and social distancing, we have made the decision to hold our flu clinics by appointment only.
We have spent a lot of time and effort in planning and are glad to let you know that we have now commenced daily flu clinics
We are planning to telephone all eligible patients individually and offer the appointments over the course of the next 6 weeks. Our friendly PPG has also agreed to kindly help us with the bookings and so you may get a call from them on our behalf as well.
We have trained extra staff, allocated dedicated nurse, reception as well as admin time and plan to prioritise elderly as well as vulnerable patients and children.
A designated one way system has also been set up both at East Bergholt as well as Capel St Mary sites.
In order to help us, CAN WE PLEASE REQUEST THAT YOU DO NOT MISS YOUR APPOINTMENTS AND ALSO AVOID CANCELLING THEM AT SHORT NOTICE.
A specific time slot will be agreed with you when booking the appointment. Unlike other slots, patients attending the flu clinic will not need to call the reception to confirm their arrival.
Please arrive on time for your appointment but no more than 5 minutes in advance to avoid over crowding and follow the signs for the flu clinic.
You must wear a face mask when attending clinics to ensure you socially distance from our staff as well as other patients at all times.
Creating these huge number of appointments per day is understandably having an impact on our resources - but we are trying our best to manage resources and provide as many services and appointments as possible during these testing times.
So please bear with us and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any suggestions or concerns.
We hope all of you continue to stay safe and enjoy good health.
