Travel Health

Do you need vaccinations?

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to visit www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk.

We can only offer travel vaccinations that are covered by the NHS. When you contact the practice, reception will advise you to visit www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk or contact a travel clinic to find out the necessary information and what travel vaccinations are required. If you need travel vaccinations that are covered by the NHS please contact reception and tell them which travel vaccinations you need. They will then pass this information onto one of our Practice Nurses who will look at your vaccination record to see if you are up to date on the necessary vaccinations or not. If you are up to date reception will call you back to inform you of this and if you are not they will call to arrange the appropriate appointment.

We require a minimum of 8 weeks notice before you intend to travel. This gives us time to arrange your appointment and make sure you have had your vaccinations within the appropriate time before you travel.

Please note that we do not offer any private travel vaccines. If you require any vaccines that are not covered by the NHS you will need to search for your nearest Travel Clinic. For more information please visit www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk
